Project Description

This community is being designed to improve the quality of life for its residents by reducing reliance on automobiles which should save money and time. The community will be located in eastern NC and will contain all the components for its 2000 residents to live, work, and play. It will be within one mile of several major manufacturing facilities, where shuttles will provide transportation for workers. The community will include a school, recreation center, medical facility, daycare center, adult education center, senior center, and retail spaces for small shops and restaurants. Residents will be within ΒΌ miles of the recreation/town square to encourage walking. It’s expected that school children will walk to school, which will eliminate parents’ waiting in cueing lines before and after school. Homes will be a mix of single-family, multi-family, and townhomes and will have for sale and for-rent options. Residents are expected to remain in the community as they transition through life, taking advantage of the living options as their needs change. This community will provide a home for everyone regardless of their income or station in life.
